From one-of-a-kind window treatments to room transformations to complete home makeovers, Joan Walker and her team have consistently delighted clients and surpassed their expectations. The company’s many repeat clients are a testament to The Curtain Call’s reputation for outstanding work and commitment to customer service.
Joan’s longstanding and loyal team includes master carpenters, veteran plumbers and electricians, expert painters, European seamstresses, and other building professionals who take great pride and care in their work. Together with Joan’s project management expertise, they form a cohesive team that provides quality workmanship from the start to finish of every project.
Joan Walker
To say Joan is passionate about interior design wouldn’t adequately capture her dedication, skills and enthusiasm for her work and craft. The founder of The Curtain Call, Joan is especially noted for her knowledge of fabrics and colours, her intuition for design and her ability to create timeless spaces that say “home” to her clients.
Joan’s clients can attest that she has a singular focus on completing projects on time and with an unmatched attention to detail. Focused, observant and tenacious, Joan especially loves the creative challenge of tricky layouts, diverse client tastes and balancing budgets with long wish lists.
As passionate about the community in which she works and lives as she is about interior design, Joan generously donates her time and resources to local organizations, including the Peninsula Community Foundation, Centre for Child Development, Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, and Rotary Club of South Surrey. In 2012, she was awarded the Business Person of the Year by the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce, recognizing her leadership, vision and significant contribution to the community.
Donna Piva
As Project Manager for The Curtain Call, Donna will ensure all aspects of your project will be taken to the highest standards with the “White Glove” service we are known for.
Having been a Brand Ambassador for the past 20-plus years in both design and the manufacturing industry, Donna joins the team at The Curtain Call with a plethora of experience under her belt.
When she is not on the job, Donna enjoys a glass of red, catching up with her friends, and spending quality time with her family.
Jared McDonald
Jared, a valued team member for the Curtain Call, boasts 26 years of expertise in hardwood installation, sanding, refinishing, and millwork in the construction industry. An out-of-the-box thinker, Jared is gifted in his attention to detail and shows meticulous dedication throughout the installation process. Beyond his craft, he is a dedicated hockey coach and relishes outdoor adventures with his family. Jared channels his creativity into crafting unique wood creations in his free time, striking a perfect balance between professional mastery and personal expression.
