The city of Surrey, Canada a providence of British Columbia, right outside of Vancouver. It’s the home to two colleges and is a great area for farming and agriculture, and tons of parkland, with two rivers running through it. The climate of Surrey is by far the coolest part of city and all that it has to offer.
Some quick facts about Surrey:
- Surrey gets more rainfall in the winter than in the summer.
- The nicest weather in Surrey happens during the June, July, August and September.
- July is one of the driest months of the year.
The climate in general
Surrey is known for a cool, temperate climate. The weather there is a lot like Vancouver’s weather, warm in the summers and cool in the fall and the winter. Since Surrey is closer to the coastal climate the city does get sea breezes a well. Their climate is called a Mediterranean climate, meaning that the city gets warm wet winters sometimes, and dry summers. Which despite the sound of it being wet and rainy it does make a very great climate to farm.
The temperature
The temperatures of Surrey changes with the seasons. In the Summer time the temperature of Surrey can maintain a 90F (33C) average, and in the winter it can be anywhere from 44F (4C) 34F (1C). The weather is very mild through out the year. And can change depending on the closer one gets to Vancouver. The closer to Vancouver one gets the temperature is changed by the mountains and the coastal climate.
The seasons
Spring: Spring months bring rain and are a very chilly at night.
Summer: The weather in Surrey during the summer can very from warm 93F (33C), and the lows are 54 (12C). People do try to take the time to swim when they’re able to in the summer time and we shorts like any other
Winter: While snow is not common in the lower altitudes, there’s snow in the higher altitudes during the winter time.
Fall: The weather of Surrey is very mild, and usually requires sweaters and the weather’s very crisp.
Typical Rain Fall
Like a lot of the time typical rain fall of Surrey is a lot like any other city. The city gets more rain in the winter time and spring time than it does any other time of the year. Making December the wettest month of the year for the people who live in Surrey. A lot of the rain fall during the winter months have to do with the mountainous weather.
